celebration of Kannawidan has arrived. Being a part of this kannawidan gives me a great pleasure.

This
festival aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province rich
cultural heritage practices and traditions and showcase of different agriculture
and industry products of the province. Its custom and traditions give itself a
notable peculiarity. According to what is happening now, modernization is
strongly influencing plenty of people which lends to the fact that customs and
traditions are gradually waning. Modernized people now a days, particularly to
children are very fun of spending most of their time watching television and
surfing on the internet. The kannawidan articulated the sign of the extinction of the culture.
With this kind of assessment, there is really a need to revive & reawaken
the soul and spirit of Ilocano.

festival gives you plenty of activity which also sets the stage to a religious procession
with miraculous saints from different municipalities. There is a tribal
performance which dances and crafts the local products, cultural dances and
ethnic rituals, food fest with their traditional cuisine and many more. They
mounted their talent as well as their attractive costumes. The most attractive
was the OTOP FAIR. Each municipality display and impress people about their
products and for them to emphasize the essence of their town.
This
Festival is very momentous to people of the province as they celebrate the
province of virtue of the royal decree signed on February 2, 1818. Surely this conduction
of the program was going to be so successful and has really attain its purpose
of reviving and preserving the rich Ilocano culture. I AM PROUD TO BE TRUE
